Bush and Cheney Crush You in War of Attrition

During a recent interview with ABC News, Dick Cheney was confronted with the fact that a large percentage of Americans feel the war in Iraq is hopeless. His response:

“So.”

Love him or hate him, he has a point. After all, not too many Americans are paying attention to the war in Iraq at all.

Take a look at the latest search numbers as reported by the Lycos 50. You’ll find that while Paris Hilton has managed to hold her own even in the days of Spitzer and Dupre, searches for news about Iraq have dropped almost completely off the radar – and that’s during a week when almost every media outlet provided heavy coverage of the war’s fifth anniversary.

There is a moral to this story and it’s pretty scary.
