Too Early for an Obama Running Mate?

Sure it’s only Iowa so far, but what the hell.

Obama, if nominated, just might select Bill Richardson as his running mate. Obama would get a huge boost among Latinos and Richardson bolsters his weakness in the area of experience. (OK, so the more-experienced Veep pick might bring back a few bad recent memories…).

Of course, much of this decision would depend on who runs against Obama. Given the immigration-related foaming at the mouth going on across the aisle, the Latino vote could be a given.

Any talk of running mates is of course merely academic until we have a clear leader after several primaries and after we have some level of certainty that Cheney will give up the position peacefully.

Concentration is important!
