Chest Pain? Get to a Casino

If you’re going to have a heart attack, the best case scenario would be to have it when you’re already in a hospital.

Or so you’d think.

According to a recent study in the NEJM, delayed defibrillation in hospitals is a lot more common than you’d think (especially if you happen to be black). In some cases, you might be better off having your heart attack in a casino or an airport where laypeople-friendly defibrillators are often nearby.

You’ll also probably lose a lot less money in the casino.

Concentration is important!
