It really is, given the state of political discourse, a perfect headline from CNN:

Was Obama’s answer about drug use too honest?

Clinton gives a ridiculous “didn’t inhale” when asked if he smoked weed ; an answer that is still the punchline of jokes. We hear that nonsense and anoint him as the political genius of his time (albeit a really, really bad pot smoker).

Obama says, yeah, I smoked pot in high school and indeed, “The point was to inhale. That was the point.”

And we wonder if he’s being too honest.

A nonsensical lie = political genius
Stone cold truth = too honest

I wonder why most Americans are disgusted by the political process (including its coverage).

Are there any single issue voters out there who are really going to go with this as the single issue? Typical election M.O. Long on width, short on depth.
