Let There Be Light, Etc

My friend Alex Wright has just published an amazing book on the history of information (big topic, smart dude). Alex is a fantastic information architect who has worked on some of the top websites out there (and did a hell of job on a little ditty I like to call Rollyo). In this book, he traces the way we’ve organized information through the ages (think Chomsky’s verb-phrase formula meets information and categorization – could we be pre-wired for organizing information?).
I had the pleasure of reading through some of the book’s early drafts. It’s great stuff. I highly recommend it for anyone, especially us web geeks who think we’ve come up with a whole new way to organize data.

Congrats Alex. Great work.
Hey, I’ve got something to say about this whole Paris Hilton ordeal.
(Don’t worry) Just kidding.
