Rove: As Long as it’s Private

Certainly a nice scoop here by WaPo, but I’m not sure the first sentence quite works:

Top White House aides are privately discussing the future of Karl Rove, with some expressing doubt that President Bush can move beyond the damaging CIA leak case as long as his closest political strategist remains in the administration.

Something about privately discussing things that end up on front pages doesn’t quite mesh.

Back in the day, this stuff would have never leaked out of W’s administration. Coverage of inside moves is starting to rival Brad, Jen and Angelina.

Concentration is important!
