Al Sharpton is on a quest to end the glorification of violence – and more importantly, the actual violence – associated with the rap music business.
Good idea. But what about the methods?
Step one is for the Reverend to buy up stock in record companies that sell rap music. Al’s idea is that as a shareholder, he can pressure the companies. Well, that takes a lot of shares. Chalk it up to Sharpton to be the first guy to ever try to punish a company by buying stock.
Step two? He is heading over to the FCC.
Wow. What a drag.
A great cause executed in exactly the wrong way.
