The Mainstreaming of TiVo Users?

Take a look at the top 25 television shows recorded by TiVo users during the week ending March 13. There are a couple of things worth thinking about here. First, are there now enough TiVo users to make this list pretty much mirror the the most popular television shows overall? And second, has anyone else noticed that HBO’s streak might be over? It’s my favorite and most TiVoed channel (This Week in the NFL, Real Sports, Sopranos, Six Feet, Bill Maher…), but with the extra long hiatuses for shows like The Sopranos and Six Feet and loss of Sex and the City and new shows that are either incredibly odd or sort of horrible, it seems like you’d be hearing some grumblings from subscribers (I only mention this because we have been, for several years now, trained to expect an incredible level of quality from the network).

Either way, I find it a bit troubling that Joey places in the top 15 among the television elite and the well-reviewed Arrested Development isn’t on the list.
