President Bush has appointed longtime UN critic John R. Bolton to be the next U.S. ambassador to the U.N.
Bolton is known for being incredibly frank in expressing his feelings about the organization’s shortcomings. Let’s put it this way. The insiders at the U.N. probably would’ve been less surprised if W had appointed Michael Bolton to the position.
