Credit Where Credit Ain’t Due

Chalk up a key victory for the credit card companies as the Senate has passed the Bankruptcy Bill:

The Senate approved a measure yesterday backed by the credit card industry that would make it harder for people to wipe out debt through bankruptcy, setting a path for quick passage of the bill by the House within weeks.

Doesn’t it seem interesting that in a business era that will long be remembered for corporate crimes that Washington is choosing to go after consumers at every turn (from this bill to efforts to limits lawsuits, etc)?

If I didn’t know better, I’d think that big business had a lot of throw in D.C…

Concentration is important!
