Understanding Awesome
So I’m with my friend the online poker professional (who I regularly try to convince to scale back his operation) and he’s showing me how to play. And we have similar personality make-ups (NFL, Vegas, Temple), so I encountered pleasure. Lots of it. After winning a few hands, I grew concerned and felt I needed to re-assert my general position:
“I don’t want you to think any of this is an endorsement of your addiction.”
He responded:
“Oh dude, I don’t need anyone to confirm what I know is awesome.”
What can I say? You win some interventions, you lose some.
