It’s Not Just for Pachinko Anymore…

Let’s talk about sector, baby.

Foreign investment funds are starting to make more invesments in Japan’s so-called “love hotels.” Now that’s what I call a private placement. There are thousands of these inns, rentable by the hour. In some case, one room will rent out more than six times a day, hence the interest from investment groups. Sort of puts our venture capital boom into some perspective, no? Telecom? Wireless? The consumer web? Something tells me that the due dilligence experience in those sectors doesn’t quite add up.

Damn, the one time I traveled to Japan, the coolest thing I saw was Mt Fuji. Who knew?

Concentration is important!
