It’s now apparently official. We’ve spent more time arguing over what happened to the munitions that were supposedly at al Qaqaa than we spent debating whether or not we should have invaded Iraq in the first place.
And we’ve heard almost as many reasons given to explain the former as the latter. But not quite.
Al Qaqaa would be an interesting topic to get a poll on. Everyone polled would have a strong opinion on the matter. And almost no one would have the slightest idea about any of the details.
I really find it hard to believe that there is voter out there somewhere who has remained undecided about Bush’s Iraq war, but feels that the al Qaqaa case is a decisive factor.
