Kerry Doing Barney-like Numbers

The kids have chosen.

About 400,000 children and teens have placed their votes on the Nickelodeon website and Kerry has won the election by 57-43% margin (apparently candy-coating Iraq didn’t help W that much…). Those numbers are slightly different if one factors in stray votes and write-ins for Ralph Nader and Spongebob Squarepants.

Why is this news? Well, it’s not really. But it is interesting that the kids have correctly chosen the winner in the last four presidential elections.

Aside from the results, I’m not sure about the wisdom of exposing young children to politics. It can be a gateway drug.
