John Kerry’s October Surprise

Like all left-leaning types, I’ve been a little critical of the Kerry campaign. With the economy in the dumps, the war in Iraq looking like a debacle launched on false pretenses, and W’s low approval ratings, Kerry should be doing better. On the other hand, there are millions of voters who are backing Bush because of his evangelical ways; because he is god’s messenger in the White House.

That’s why I’ve come up with the one campaign slogan Kerry must use if he is to have any hope of attracting votes from this growing and politically active population (not that he’s not trying already). If Kerry uses it right away, it just might work.

Note to Kerry campaigners: No attribution is required. Just get this message out there, and fast. And feel free to tweak it as you see fit. It might be a bit too subtle (no one ever said I was Mel Gibson).

(If anyone has any Hollywood connections, I’m trying to get Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis to do the voiceovers for the radio ads.)
