When I was at the Democratic convention, I wrote about a moment when Ted Kennedy as his entourage were told they would not be allowed to take the elevator to their luxury box because of an order by the fire marshalls. At the time, I thought this was just an isolated event and I blamed it on the messenger (in this case, the elevator dude).
But now I’m starting to wonder. It turns out that a few months before the luxury box incident, Senator Kennedy was stopped by airport security officials no less than five different times. Somehow, Ted Kennedy landed on the “no-fly” list and it took his staff more than three weeks to get his name removed.
