The Duncemaker

Maybe John McCain should just drop everything and run as an independent. He has certainly been treated by both campaigns as if he was the ultimate kingmaker. Or make that duncemaker. He can’t guarentee victory, but a really harsh attack from the Senator or a really major dispute with him could make a candidate feel like he was trying to put a sqaure peg into an Oval Office.

The latest example? President Bush has agreed to join McCain in a lawsuit against the FEC in an effort to put the 527s out of the business of political advertising for one candidate or the other.

Concentration is important!
