According to a new poll oconducted by the Harvard Shorenstein Center, interest in politics is way up but interest in watching any of the convention coverage on television is way down. So what gives? Could it be that we are so addicted to attack politics that the idea of watching one side shadow box just doesn’t sound all that entertaining?
Or will it turn out that this poll is simply off the mark. Maybe people don’t want to admit that they’ll watch, but in the end, they won’t be able to resist a little living room rubber-necking?
Come on. Balloons. Confetti. Tchotchkies.
How could anyone turn away?
