What’s worse in terms of a political career?
Being labeled a liberal or consistently trying to label your opponent as a liberal (after using up a lot of elbow grease in the process of defaming an otherwise perfectly good word).
I would prefer being identified as the former. Those in the latter can be described as suffering from a permanent state of Liberalysis.
