There is a slight error in this editorial on me (well, on all the Convention bloggers). The author suggests that there were 50 applications from bloggers. In fact, 50 were approved out of more than 200 apps and those 50 were later whittled down (oddly) to 30 or so.
Other than this error, the editorial seems entirely meaningless until you realize that its waste of digital whitespace is really a clever metaphor that offers a realtime reason why bloggers will be more interesting in their coverage than will the mainstream press.
With this rather choppy and unnecessary post, I’ve essentially thrown the metaphoric ball (without the error but with even less meaning and/or purpose) back in their court. Stay tuned.
