Once again, HBO has thoroughly dominated the Emmy nominations with Angels in America and The Sopranos leading the way.
It’s nice to see the noms, but it’s a bit crazy to think about some of the shows that have won and those that never have. Is it really even thinkable that The Sopranos (quite possibly the most consistently excellent drama in television history) has never won an Emmy for best series? And let’s not even get into Everyone Loves Raymond.
Curb fans should take note of what will clearly evolve into an episode or two next season: Larry David is up for best actor in a comedy series. One of his opponents is John Ritter.
