Who needs advertisers?

Friendster has hired an ex-NBC executive to take over the top spot at the leading player in the social networking space. Expect Friendster to focus in part on an advertising play. It makes perfect sense, really. If Google can make dough off of you merely by looking at what things you search for, Friendster should be able to capitalize on knowing tons of information about you and your friends.
