Tony Randall spent a lifetime in the theater. Later in his life, he also made the news when he became a father at the age of 77. But for a couple generations of viewers, he will always be remembered as Felix Unger and serve as a reminder of what it was like when we all watched the same shows over and over and knew the same characters like they were family.
Randall was a regular on the talkshow circuit. He set a record as a frequent guest on Carson, made more than 100 appearances on Letterman and appeared in Conan’s premiere.
Tony Randall died at the age of 84.
Tonight at 8pm, the lights of every Broadway theater will go dim. Expect more than a few to feel the need to clear their nasal passages.
