Banners in a Google World

What if advertisers only paid for the banner ads that you clicked? Google may be pushing the web in that direction. But getting advertisers to see the power of traditional branding online has been key to the net’s ad revival.

How long will it be before Google makes Gmail available as a service to other sites? It makes sense. More inventory is more inventory right?
