Reading Comprehension

Was there a child left behind in terms of reading comprehension? As I’ve said repeatedly, the pre-9-11 finger-pointing seems like a red herring to me (especially given the current situation on the ground in Iraq). But after delaying the release of yet another document and then only releasing it under the strongest of pressures, you’d think there would be an analysis that would make us feel a little better. In reaction memo that is titled Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US, Bush responded: “I am satisfied that I never saw any intelligence that indicated there was going to be an attack on America — at a time and a place, an attack.”

Yeah, we sort of know what he means, but it’s getting tiring to have to translate all the time.

Concentration is important!
