There is a quote (questionably) attributed to Paul Newman that goes something like this: “24 beers in a case, 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? I think not.”
Students at Princeton have been taking the quote pretty seriously for many years. On April 24th, Princeton is home to Newman’s Day during which students binge drink, apparently in an attempt to match the stats referred to in the quote above. Now Paul himself is urging students to drop the unofficial holiday and just say no to binge drinking.
Maybe they should all just make like Cool Hand Luke and power down a few dozen hardboiled eggs? Nah, too much cholesterol. What then? Spaghetti sauce chugs? Salad Dressing Shots? Microwave popcorn smoked through the hooka pipe? There’s got to be a better way.
