Drea De Matteo is about to embark on one of the most dramatic quality slides in the history of television. From a co-starring role on one of TV’s best shows (The Sopranos) to a starring spot opposite Matt LeBlanc in his Friends spinoff, Joey. Sources have indicated that “her new gig … will not interfere with her contractual obligations to the 10-episode sixth and final season of David Chase’s hit series.”
Would HBO allow themselves to be so soiled as to share with LeBlanc? I think not. If Drea’s going to have that kind of free time, it probably means Tony and the gang are about to get wind of her FBI informing and she’ll soon be whacked (not that her character hasn’t been associated with plenty of whacking in the past).
The whole thing has really taken the buzz away from Jamie-Lynn-Sigler’s own effort to torpedo her rep with Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss.
